4. Hide valuables and gifts: Don't leave expensive items or gifts in plain sight. Keep them in secure locations, such as a locked closet or a safe. Avoid displaying them on windows or tables where they can be easily seen from outside.
5. Hide and dispose of sensitive documents: Dispose of packaging, boxes, and other items that could tip off burglars about your recent purchases. Shred documents that contain personal information, such as credit card statements or receipts.
