Securing your home or business today is more affordable than it used to be. There are lots of different options and prices to suit your needs and budget. Whether it is CCTV, and access control or perimeter security you are after, we can help. Will a security system reduce my home insurance? In one word – yes. But to be considered for a reduction, your system has to have genuine police response monitoring, and meet PD6662 standards. It also has to be installed by a SSAIB or NSI approved company such as FSR Security. If applicable, it could then reduce your insurance premium by up to 25%. If my system is running on batteries, how will I know when they run out? As part of our annual routine maintenance, our technicians check your batteries ensuring that your system is always operating at its optimum. If we see a battery is running low then we’d make you aware & replace accordingly. What happens in the event of a power cut? In the event of power failure, the internal battery located within the end station will take over until power is restored. The battery should last for around 12 hours (depending on the grade of system) and will recharge when mains power is restored. Are Wireless security systems any good? The reliability of wireless security systems has vastly improved over the past few years. And with regular maintenance a wireless system provides a reliable and effective alternative to traditional, wired systems. Ina addition, they are wireless system are very quick and easy to install. Do Security system come with a warranty? Nearly all security systems come with a minimum 12 months manufactures warranty. This is longer on the high-grade systems. FSR Security also provide a 12 months warranty on all cabling and wiring that we install. If you have questions about warranty longevity, please ask one of our technicians who will be happy to advise on the best for your property and budget. In some cases, our CCTV systems come with a manufacturers 3-year warranty which some suppliers don't actually pass on to the end consumer. Can you service an alarm system that you have not installed? Yes – Our technicians are familiar with all alarm systems and are familiar with all security systems maintenance requirements Infact, we often get called to help clients who have had alarms system installed by other suppliers. We I have extended my home and need extra sensors- can you fit them for me? Yes – we often assist clients with extensions. Whether we initially fitted the system or not. Do you offer alarm monitoring? Yes – We are able to provide a completely remote monitoring service through our 3rd party supplier. We can also provide remote app monitoring to certain systems that allows the end user to remotely control their alarm. Will my pet trigger the alarms? Yes and no. If you have standard PIR sensors (motion detectors in certain rooms), there is the pButtial for them to be triggered. But we can fit specially designed pet sensors that do not get triggered by smaller mass detections.
